PADI SCUBA COURSES FROM ENTRY TO PROFESSIONAL LEVEL

At the beginning of each course, every confined or shallow water session starts with a lecture on a required knowledge and  skills training sequence that the participants have to learn and undergo, during which their over-all performance and comfort levels are evaluated before any open water training portion is introduced. Emphasis is placed on equipment use and maintenance, safety and emergency procedures, dive planning, leadership and teamwork, buoyancy control, physical, physiological, and psychological concerns. The training period varies in relation to the certification level chosen by a trainee.  As the training process is performance-based, three (3) to five (5) days has been proven to be enough time for a trainee to complete the requirements for an entry level course. As in the case of  Rescue Diver / Dive master trainees, they have to undergo a more rigid and extended training process before they are certified.
